EXTERIOR: Straight, no rust, bubbles or damage. It fits right. It has a cowl hood and spoilers. Code R-R which indicates this was born a Matador red car without a vinyl top. It has a smooth glossy finish. Painted on white SS stripe. Most of the exterior trim has been replaced. Replaced windshield. Polished 16 inch Torque Thrust wheels, fatter tires in back.
INTERIOR: Code 725 indicates it was born with very desirable red deluxe interior. The deluxe included molded door panels, upgraded upholstery and woodgrain trim. New dash pad. Good original instrument area. Replaced heater controls, factory still in place. There is a stereo hidden in the glovebox and some 6×9 speakers in back. It has custom gauges in the factory console. Carpet, door panels and upholstery are very good. In the video there are holes in the headliner,
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: 454 with Edelbrock intake, Holly carb with electric choke, MSD ignition and a set of headers. Many new components- alternater, wiper motor, power steering pump and hoses, power brake system etc. Runs cool with stock shroud, a flex fan plus the addition of an electric pusher fan and aluminum overflow bottle.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Rock solid metal with a nice coat of spatter paint. Weatherstrip is replaced.
UNDERSIDE: The front end was recently gone through. It has all new control arm bushings, sway bar bushings, ball joints, springs and shocks. Frame connectors tie the front to the back to prevent body twist. In back it has air shocks. Great sounding custom fat exhaust with welded joints a crossover pipe and Flowmaster mufflers. It has a disc brake conversion in front, rebuilt rear brakes. The e-brake assembly is hooked up, new brake lines. Looking up at the motor it is spotless, new high torque starter. Correct 1968 Turbo 400 automatic. It was recently resealed. Rebuilt drive shaft connects to a 12 bolt rear end. It’s rebuilt with 3.42 posi, new pinion seals, axle seals and a chrome cover. The floors appear to be very solid metal.
